To the parents of Brad and family: You don't know me but I am thinking about you day and night. I lost my only son 4 years ago when he was 19 years old. He was killed in a car crash. He was my whole life and was taken from me way to soon. He had his whole life ahead of him, just like Brad had. I don't understand why God takes such young,strong,smart, healty guys to be with him, when we needed them here, with us. Maybe when we all get to Heaven we will get some answers. I don't know. Until then, I pray that God will be by their side until we can get there to take care of them again. God Bless you and your family and friends and you are in my prayers. It is a tough journey ahead and it is not easy and never ending. It is something you will never get over and only a parent can understand the tremendous loss of a child. to the "Skaftes" (as my mom would say)... I am so honored to have the priveledge of knowing Brad. In my mind he will always be the sweet brown eyed, curley haired boy I knew. The little boy who refused to go to bed without 3 jumps on the bed and a story, the smallest one of the pack who seemed to have no fear of the the "seaweed", I have many many fond memories of him, as well as the rest of you. I wish I could fast forward you all to the time when it doesnt hurt so bad and you are able to remember him with a smile.
