My mom, Gay Craven Russell (your mother's first cousin), told me of this tragedy today. My heart aches for any parent who experiences their young child's passing. May his memories live on and bring you joy in time. Though there are no words to provide you with ample comfort during this time of great sorrow and grief, I will share that God did not take him FROM you...only BEFORE you. Through Him, Brandon walks in peace and will reunite with you and his loved ones once again.

There are no words... Just know that Brandon was my hero... He was a genuine, true friend to my son Sam... He showed more compassion and bravery than most adults at the Rec Center the day Sam had a seizure....Brandon was special to me and I embarrassed him everytime I saw him making sure he understood that too. :) He will live forever in our hearts--- and knowing the characteristics he so boldly shared as well as his true heart... Makes me feel a little comfort in knowing he is up above looking down on us now.... No better person to have on our side. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our daughter, Mandy, knew Brandon from early years at Greendale Elementary. Brandon was popular with the girls. She was his girlfriend for a couple weeks as were most of her girl friends. They all seem to have positive feeling about Brandon as a friend. To be sure there must be many personality traits that made him popular with the girls. In the LORD, we have hope that that this personality and his total soul is safe in HIS keeping. I shall encourage my daughter to better understand the message and lessons learned from Brandon.
