Brandon Nathan Tyson age 17, died on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville SC.
Brandon was born July 13, 2001. He was an accomplished all around athlete in football, baseball, cross country and track. He loved big adventures and the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, diving - he did it all. He loved the Longhorns and Patriots just like his momma. He was very determined and hard working, with a planned education to be a rig and deep sea underwater welder.
Most importantly, Brandon was a precious kindhearted son to his parents Jeremy and Niki Tyson. He was a loving and soft hearted "Big Bubbie" to Cannon and Summer. He was a cherished grandson to Mimi, Mamma T and Paco. He was an adored nephew to his aunts and uncles and admired and looked up to by all his cousins. He was true and faithful to countless friends and teammates. We are blessed for the time we had with him and will love him always.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, at Sullivan-King Mortuary, with Pastor Jake Beaty officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:30-4 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anderson Cavaliers Baseball Team, P. O. Box 132, 3300 N Main St. STE D, Anderson, SC 29621.

Our daughter Lauren met Brandon last summer at the Gauntlet church retreat. They were in the same small group., and became friends. They texted for a while after the camp. She was so stunned & saddened to hear of what happened. We will be praying for your family during this very difficult time.

Our daughter Lauren met Brad/Brandon last summer at The Gauntlet in Daytona Beach; they were in the same small group & became good friends during the week. They kept in touch for maybe a month after...Lauren is SO deeply stunned & saddened by this & we are praying for your family.

Our daughter Lauren met Brad/Brandon last summer at The Gauntlet revival retreat in Daytona, FL. They were in the same small group, and became close friends over the week. They kept in touch for maybe a couple months after that. She was so saddened and stunned by this news. We are praying for your family.

I only knew Brad (what we called him) a short time while working with him part time. He was inquisitive and passionate about sports and my heart breaks for his family. I pray for clarity and peace during this difficult time.

Dear Niki and Jeremy, I want you to know how much I enjoyed coaching Brad in baseball this past season. I appreciated so much his dedication to the Anderson Cavaliers baseball program. He never missed a game or practice and was always polite and willing to help with the field (something most of the boys hated to do). It was a pleasure coaching him and I'll miss him. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I've known Brandon since 7th grade, we were always really good friends. Even when he moved to a different district we kept in touch. My heart is aching because I know he won't be with us physically, but his heart and soul will run through us all. I pray that those in his family are alright and that they will stay strong for him. We only knew Brandon a short time, but Roger and I were so impressed by his friendliness, manners , zest for life and kindness to his siblings. He was always working in the yard, going fishing, or playing some sport with his brother or father. Needless to say, we were Very impressed with this young man. He always waved and was very friendly to neighbors. Rest In Peace Brandon. You were a shining star!!!
