Braxton Reed Obituary

Published by Houston Chronicle from Oct. 19 to Oct. 23, 2016.
Braxton Davies Reed
2011-2016
Braxton Davies Reed, age 5, passed away last Thursday, October 13, 2016. Braxton was an amazing child. He loved to play and especially liked music, books, jumping on the trampoline, swimming, and he gave the best "hugs" in the world. His smile would light up the room and his mischievous nature made him unique. Although only on this earth for a short time, he will not be forgotten.
Braxton is survived by his parents, Megan Sutton-Reed and Christopher B. Reed; his best friend and brother, Brady Christopher Reed; his grandparents, Suzanne and Joseph Sutton, and Connie and Gary Reed, both of The Woodlands, Texas; his aunts and uncles, Gretchen Sutton Setrum and Kent Setrum of Houston, and Rebecca Clemmer and Casey Clemmer also of Houston; and his loving cousins Mallory Jennings, Delaney Setrum, Jackson Setrum, Lucas Clemmer, and Liam Clemmer.
A memorial service is to be conducted on Monday, the 24th of October at noon in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons in Houston. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception in the adjacent grand foyer.
In lieu of flowers, if you are so inclined, you may donate to the Braxton Davies Reed Charitable Foundation that supports children's projects. Donations may be sent in care of Sutton Ventures Group to 919 Milam Street, Suite 2400 Houston, TX 77002.

We saw this boys mosoleum while walking through the cemetery, with lays chips, balloons and toys inside. It made me so sad - I am so sorry to this family I can tell he was/is so loved. My condolences, no one should lose their child but I can tell he was very loved during his short time on earth. I hope you can find peace.

Thanks.

My deepest condolences to the family. I was one of Braxton's teacher in the Panda Class. He always came in happy and ready to play. I have a special memory of him, that he enjoyed dressing up in the dramatic center and there was a white hat that he loved to wear. After he moved on to the Pre-K, he always stopped by to say hi.

Dear Megan, Chris, and Brady,

Like so many other people, we are heartbroken that your family is experiencing this devastating loss. That beautiful and precious little boy was so loved by his devoted parents, amazing big brother, and incredible grandparents! We hope that happy memories of your special times together will soon help replace the profound grief that all of you are walking through now. May your family find strength and comfort through your deep love for one another and through the knowledge that so many friends care deeply as you navigate the healing process. Braxton will live on forever in the hearts and memories of everyone who knew that beautiful little soul. Take good care of yourselves during this time of loss. You know that Braxton, your adorable little monkey, would want you to.

Love and healing hugs to all of you.

You probably do not remember me but I was a teacher at St. Andrews when Braxton was there. I am heart broken over hearing of his passing. I promise you he had teachers that loved him and I find solace in remembering his happy face while he was there. May he Rest In Peace. God bless that sweet boy.
