Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 5, 2009.
Breanne Candera Mahon, 18, of Virginia Beach, VA, left us all on January 5th, 2009 and is now with the ones that will always watch over her. Our angel will never be forgotten as her light continues and will always shine upon those that she has touched. Ms. Breanne brightened all our lives by way of a smile, the touch of her laughter, and the overflowing love she always shared. Living her life to the fullest, she graduated from Kellam High School in 2008, and as freshman at Virginia Tech, she always strived to better those around her. We love you Bre and we feel you with every ray of sunshine that fully opens our eyes and warms us with your love. You will always be with us in our hearts and our thoughts. My lovely child you are our own…. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Sandy M. and Michael F. Zalud, and father and step-mother, John F. and Jean Mahon, her sister, Kirsten Mahon, her brother, Bryan Mahon, all of Virginia Beach, VA; four step-sisters, Jordan Kirste and Brittany Zalud, both of Virginia Beach, VA, Brooke Zalud of Richmond, VA, and Heather Evans and husband David of Keysville, VA; her step-brother, Trevor Kirste and wife Colleen of Branchville, VA; her maternal grandfather, Harry Candera of Philadelphia, PA; her maternal grandmother, Effie Mahon of Toms River, NJ; her stepgrandparents, Bill and Nell Gray of Chesapeake, VA; niece, Haleigh Grace Evans of Keysville, VA; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Year after year, it doesn't really get any easier to reconcile the loss of such a beautiful child. Not on this day of reflection & remembrance. We still mourn with you for Bre, and rejoice at her beautiful grace & salvation.
