Mrs Barrett was my teacher at Walter Hill. She was so nice and worked really hard with me to make sure that I was out of Resource before going to Oakland High School. She was a very kind and caring woman. Emily, I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how difficult it is to lose a parent. You're in my prayers.

Emily, I know you and your mom have a very close, very special relationship. I pray that God fills your heart and mind with the most amazing memories until you see her again.

I was privileged to work with Mrs. Barrett at Wilson Elementary. She was an amazing woman, teacher and friend! I am very thankful to have known her! She will be missed tremendously!!!

My deepest condolences to everyone who loved Mrs. Barrett. I was honored to work across the hall from her at Wilson for six years. She was a very special person and I am so lucky that I got to know her.

Brenda was a parent when children came to kindergarten and I was lucky to be the teacher. She was always kind and caring.

Mrs. Barrett was an amazing and sweet lady. She was my Katie's favorite teacher. I know it's hard when you lose someone you love. We are praying for y'all.

Sorry to hear about Brenda Mack, Lee and Emily. I remember Mack you told me back in the late 70's when Brenda turned 25 years old, you told her on her birthday she was a quarter of a century old and how old that was. I respect her as a teacher and double that being a special education teacher. You have to be a blessed soul to do that job. Two of my kids are teachers and their spouses so that makes her life career more understandable.
