Brenda Jo Bates

Brenda Jo Sleeth Bates, 70 of Minneola, Florida passed away peacefully at her residence on December 4, 2022. She was born on July 30, 1952 in Beech Grove, Indiana.

She married her high school sweetheart on October 30, 1970 and was a devoted Army wife for 20 years. She worked for AAFES for many years at the shopette as a supervisor and then as a customer service supervisor before relocating to Central Florida in 1998 where she was the store manager for Dunkin’ Donuts for 8 years till she became disabled in 2006. 

Family was very important to her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and cared about helping others in the community. She enjoyed spending time with her family, riding on the Harley, and cooking.

She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and JoHanna (Cox) Sleeth and brother Donald Sleeth Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Michael F. Bates of Minneola, Florida, her son Michael D Bates of Indianapolis, Indiana, and her daughters Amy Bates of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Amanda Williams of Minneola, Florida. She has 4 grandchildren, Rebecca Bates, Devon Bates, Kaylynn Bates, and Ashton Williams. She has 3 great grandchildren Ava, Ariel, and Jaxton.
