Brenda Dahl Obituary
November 19, 1951 - November 01, 2012
Brenda passed away in the Edmonton General, 9Y from complications with ovarian cancer.
She is survived by special family in Saskatchewan, and lifelong friends, plus many friends and acquaintances, who were very dear to her heart.
Brenda is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Alice Dahl and one sister Marilyn Specth.
Brenda served a a dedicated employee of Edmonton Telephones/Telus for 26 years.
Special thank you to the palliative home care team who kept Brenda comfortable, and able to remain in her home for an extended period of time, before her transfer to hospice. Thank you to Dr. Barton and the Edmonton General 9Y staff for their love and care of Brenda.
Cremation has taken place and on Brenda's request, no Service will be held.
In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made in Brenda's name to The Caritas Foundation Continuing Care Centre, 9Y - 11111 Jasper Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5K 0L4.

Well Miss B,
Summer has come and almost gone without you there. We sure missed your humor and your smile this summer. We know how much you loved the warm weather and nothing could keep you in (except those pesky mosquitoes). Hope you had a great summer with your friend Lana. I am sure you two tore a rippin party and are still a little hung. We miss you and love you lots. Correct a mungo!!!

I still miss you and think about you each and every day!
I often tell my girls stories about all the exciting adventures we had together. It just doesn't seem fair that you are gone! One thing for sure... I won't be scared when its my time to 'go' because I know you will be there to greet me :))

Dear B,
Miss you like crazy. Got some of 'our' memories in the mail yesterday. Loved it. I too want to call you and don't have your number! Please talk to god and make a deal with him so we can still communicate with you. This talking to you out loud in my house, my car, etc. is starting to worry my family and neighbours! Lol

We are so sad to hear of Brenda's passing as we shared amny yeaars of fun , drinks and parties together in Edmonton .
Brenda was a so much fun and always had a smile on her face .

I got to know Brenda over the last four years as she made her annual pilgrimage to Victoria. She was someone who loved to laugh, watch a good awards show on TV (including and perhaps especially the red carpet portion), share a cocktail with friends, and soak in some sun. I will ever be grateful for the time that she took care of Kathy while she was recovering from brain surgery, putting her life on hold for a month to help out. But that was Brenda, she would give you the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it. She showed amazing courage over the last year, and I will always feel blessed that I got to know her.

Brenda spent her summer vacations in Victoria for 28 years staying close to lifelong friends and making new ones. I am certainly one of those! She was a part of our lives that I will always associate with sun, and fun; trips to Parksville, Pender, fall fairs, fireworks, summer nights on balconies and decks, downtown streets, and always laughter. I am sorry to not have Brenda in my life, and feel the world is diminished without her in it. She will always be in my thoughts, and certainly every time I toast with a tall frosty.
