Brenda Harris

1943 - 2021
It is with profound sadness we announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of our Mom and Nana on August 16, 2021. Daughter Lori and her best friend Jane and Jane's daughter Megan, whom she had a close relationship with, were at her bedside. Born in Fort William on December 24, 1943, she married the late Roger Harris in July 1960 and they raised their family here. Mom enjoyed her daily walks, puzzles and travelling. Her greatest joy was her family and her many friends, whom she loved spending time with. Mom was fortunate to travel for many years and she lived in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Montego Bay, Jamaica where she made many friends and enjoyed the sun, sand and margaritas. She then lived in Miami, Florida for many years with her daughter Lori and grandson Zack. In recent years she relocated back to Thunder Bay, where she reconnected with family and friends. Mourning her loss is daughter Lori, Lori's best friend Jane, whom Mom considered a daughter, daughter-in-law Anne Rasanen-Harris. Her grandchildren, Zack (Ingrid), Kyle (Alyssa) and Brandon (Alix). Her great granddaughter Tenley Harris. Special niece Amanda Harris whom she spent some travels with, sisters-in-law Pat Harris and Donna Wright. Also survived by many family members including nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Alex and Lorraine Tabor, husband Roger Harris, sons Rick and Darren Harris, brother Alex Tabor, brothers-in-law Maurice and Norman Harris, sister-in-law Pat Kettering, nephew Don Kettering and niece Jennifer Harris. Cremation has taken place. As per Mom's wishes there will be no service. A private family interment has taken place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
