Dear Brenda:
You were the complete woman ..a woman of our time...., loving wife, dedicated mother, grandmother, and more...a warrior. Truly you were respected and loved by all who truly knew you, ... but in your own pronounced way you were so decidedly liberated by our movement towards equality of the genders. I believe that as a woman of that generation, you were beyond your time; you recognised and lived your life to the fullest, never doubted your role as an advocate of the family, while recognising your essential role as a woman of the ages...moving forward always with all the nuances of today's world. Computers, games, mobile phones and all the electronic gadgets one can play with, you played with....not to mention what an awesome opponent you were on word games.....actually you put me to shame......more than once. My only regret is that I didn't have the fortitude to pay more attention to your plight in the few days before you passed! I didn't read between the lines of a a headache and silence and to say farewell until we met again. So until then ...will miss your wise advise.
