Brenda Palacios Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 29, 2023.
Heaven has regained another angel; Brenda V. Palacios (Nana) passed on Friday, August 18th, 2023, peacefully in her sleep. Age 58 of Swartz Creek, MI. She was a delight to anyone who met her and always had a warm smile, an open ear or a bit of gossip if it was needed. She loved listening to music, reading or playing her guitar. So many in the neighborhood called her "Nana" due to her nurturing nature and uncanny ability to create a safe space for any who needed it. She is preceded in death by mother Virginia (Jennie) Olsen, father Robert Barry as well as mother in law Sharon Sekora, sister in law Kimberly Palacios, niece Sheila Reese and nephew Brandon Antaya. She is survived by husband Donald S. Palacios, children Donald J. Palacios (w/fiance Tiffany Huffman), David Palacios and Lydia Palacios (w/fiance Christopher King) and granddaughter Alice Grace. Also living on with her memory are sister Holly Antaya (w/Rod Antaya), brothers Frederick (Stoney) Miller (w/Lucinda Miller) and Lexie Miller (w/Nancy Miller) as well as Kirk Barry (w/family), numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and other various family members. Memorial will be held in the near future with the date posted on Facebook. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Brenda is my little sister and my best friend. She was always at my side growing up and we shared our Milestones of life. She cared deeply for her family and friends and laughed or cried with us all throughout our ups and downs. She felt her greatest achievements were her 38 years of marriage to her husband, having her three children, and when her granddaughter was born she could hardly contain herself. I will always love and miss her dearly.
