My sincere and deepest sympathies to Chuck, Lisa, Randy, and all the family members. Brenda always brightened any room she entered. Possessing an infectious smile and wonderful laughter she brought happiness to everyone she met. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She and all the family members are in my prayers.

As we celebrate Benda´s life it causes me to reflect. There are many fond memories. One that stands out is Brenda´s love for angels. When I first met her during a summer internship and later when we worked together at Hickory High School, she constantly and whimsically talked about angels. Brenda had angels displayed either in her dress, jewelry, and accessories. She also had her office decorated with many angels, including her angel trees. She even had an angel tree in her home! Brenda often gave gifts that were angels or sayings about angels in which I was fortunate to receive and still treasure. Knowing Brenda and her love of angels, I imagine Brenda was thrilled when her angels escorted her into the loving arms of our Lord... Absent from the body present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8).

Oh so many wonderful memories of Brenda. We followed each other as Evangelism Elders at Great Bridge Presbyterian Church. She welcomed members and visitors like they were family each Sunday in her most colorful, tasteful attire.
My best memories are praying together with a small group each Monday for an hour or two for 7 years! Such a beautiful experience. Brenda always prayed the list...the members and visitor prayer requests.
Heaven gained a most beautiful soul and know she is rejoicing now. Our loss but heavens gain!

My Golden Girl!
Dios nos envió un ángel y su nombre era Brenda. La conozco desde la escuela secundaria. Ella fue mi profesora de español, más tarde se convirtió en consejera de orientación y luego se convirtió en mi amiga. Ella era una verdadera luchadora. Ella me enseñó mucho. La amaré para siempre. Que Dios siga bendiciendo a su familia. Te quiero, BRENDA.

One of Brenda's favorite expressions was "I'm blessed". Can't you hear her saying it right now? I was truly blessed having her as my dear friend for over forty years. Sending my love and prayers for comfort to her family.

Brenda was one of the first people who welcomed us to Great Bridge Presbyterian nine years ago. Her smile and joyful disposition will be her legacy to Mike and me.

I have known Brenda for 45 years, since I first started teaching at Great Bridge High School and then again at Hickory High. She was a caring, sincere person. I'm not sure when I saw her last, but it was probably a year ago, in some store in Great Bridge and we caught up a little on our retired lives. My deepest sympathies to her family. Rest in peace, Brenda
