My heart breaks upon hearing this devastating news. I remember the breast cancer walk that I did with you, Phil and Brendan it was a beautiful sunny day and you guys welcomed me into your family group with the kindness and friendliness you always showed. I remember hoping, that day, that my relationship with my son would be as good, strong and obvious in its love and good humor as I saw from you. Brendan was kind and interesting and just lovely. I am so sorry for this loss xxoo

Dear Phil and Sharon,
I am absolutely shocked and saddened to learn of Brendan's passing. I can't begin to imagine how difficult this must for you and your family. Please know that you're not alone and that friends and family are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers. Thinking back on my memories of Brendan my first thoughts are what a talented and gifted kid he was. He was strong willed at times but there were 'many' more times that I was SO absolutely proud of him as a coach. I tear up just thinking about it. I'm deeply sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers for strength go out to you guys at this most difficult time. I will think about Brendan often. Rest in peace young man.

May the angels lead you into Paradise; may the martyrs greet you at your arrival and lead you into the holy city, Jerusalem. May the choirs of angels greet you, and like Lazarus, who once was poor, may you have eternal rest and peace.

I am so sad to read about Brendan’s passing! I worked with him in the UMASS ER! Brendan’s fun loving personality was a pleasure to be around in the hustle of the ER. It truly breaks my heart hearing that he struggled with addiction and lost the battle. You just never know what people are dealing with! Sending my heartfelt condolences, positive thoughts and prayers to Brendan’s family! Such heartbreak is hard to recover from!

Dear Sharon, Phil and Rowan,

There are truly no words that can truly describe our shock and sadness when we heard this sad news. Brendan was such a kind, hard working, helpful young man. In fact, I don't believe we have ever had someone help with snow removal at the car lot who in the freezing cold, still had a smile the entire time.

We have enjoyed getting to Brendan over the last several years. It was only 2 weeks ago he promised to bring his pup by to visit again. We had such a great conversation and he always had something kind to say.

Sending heartfelt sympathy and strength today and in the days, weeks and months ahead.

Dear Moriarty Family,

I'll never forget when Brendan and I first met in the 4th grade. I loaned him a pencil in exchange for him letting me borrow his copy of Halo. Safe to say we became fast friends after that moment. I'll always remember Brendan for his infectious personality, good nature, and love of all things sports. I'm incredibly sorry to hear about Brendan's passing away.

Brendan was a good friend to my brother Thomas Burke in both life and death. I didn’t know him before Thomas passed away unexpectedly in 2019, but I got to know him after that. He supported and participated in the races my family did in Thomas’s memory, as well as other memorials we had for him. Brendan was incredibly kind to us during a difficult time, and I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. I am praying for Brendan and your family.
