Brent BANYARD Obituary
On July 23, 2016, Brent, much loved and instantly adored by everyone he met, slipped off due to complications from a recent surgery, though not without displaying his tenacity and zest for life to the very end. Born in Alliston, Ontario (March 10, 1968) to his wonderful parents Tom and June Banyard, Brent and his older brother Jamie spent their formative years moving between Comox, BC, Shearwater, NS and Greenwood, NS as part of his father's work for the Canadian Air Force. Aspiring to be exactly like the man he most admired, his dad, Brent went into the Canadian Air Force straight out of high school, serving for 22 years, first as a Communications and Radar Technician and then as an Airborne Electronic Sensor Operator–his father's trade. Brent's true passions were his family, friends...and online gaming community. Brent leaves behind the love of his life and soul mate Misty; his parents Tom and June Banyard; his brother Jamie (Christine); nephew Nicholas; extended family members coast to coast; and thousands of friends worldwide. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Brent's Life at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street (at O'Connor), Ottawa on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. followed by a Reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brent Banyard Memorial Music Scholarship Fund c/o Misty Banyard Studio and would be greatly appreciated.

Misty, it was only today we learned of Brent's passing through Rob, our son-in-law, who was cutting a tree for you. We were your neighbours for a few years. Brent was a very social and pleasant man. Our very deepest sympathy. Ray and Sylvia Lynch.

Dear Tom, June, Jamie and Family,
It was with profound sadness that I read about Brent in the paper. I only met him a couple of times at golf games but a nicer guy you couldn't hope to meet.
Please accept my sincere sympathy for your loss. Tom & June, it must be very hard to have to attend the funeral of one of your children. I cannot imagine the hole that it leaves in your lives.
My thoughts are with you all as you try to come to terms with the loss of Brent.

Misty, So saddened to learn of Brent's passing. I worked with Brent a few years ago and I felt like I was working with my own brother. We were always making each other laugh. Very kind and fun person.

I flew with Brent on 405 Sqn in the nineties. Even back then, when we were just purchasing our own home PC's,he was the go to computer guy when we had lots of issues. I also remember him as the keeper of the large pink and white mints that he carried in his flight bag and passed out to the crew before take off, this caused many muffled sounding voices on the intercom.
