I just got word of Brent's passing from his old roommate Rosemary Kelly, and was shocked to hear of his passing. We go back, he and I, to those same old wild and young Punchinello days in Toronto and though we haven't seen much of each other over the years, I was always pleased to see him when my travels took me East. My heart goes out to you all and know that his absence in your lives will leave a hole that will never be filled. Hi laugh and wonderfully bright eyes are remembrances of our time together that I will always cherish.

Brent and I were housemates in Kensington market way back in the Punchinello Gallery days. Though I kept in touch with him as much as possible over the years, we saw each other infrequently. He was devastated by his brother's passing and I am shocked by his. He was such a witty, wide eyed creative force. He saw beauty in everything. My sympathies to his family.

Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. (Shakespeare's Hamlet)

We were shocked & saddened this morning to learn of Brent's death. His friendship, since our Kemptville high school days, has been special & cherished.

Brent had vision, style & a gentle way that was so uniquely his. It feels like he always been a part of our lives, even if we didn't get to see each other often... e-mail kept us connected.

We send his family our wishes for strength & peace, along with our deepest sympathies. He was a wonderful man!
