Brent Ensio Pesola, 65, passed away on November 1, 2023, in Garland, Texas. Born on September 28, 1958, in Marquette, MI, Brent was an enthusiastic, caring, and fun-loving individual who brought joy to those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and former students.

Brent is survived by his beloved sons, Jackson and Caden, and his cherished daughter, Karis. He also leaves behind his brothers, Bruce and Brian, his sisters-in-law, Wendy, Karie, and Kathy, and his former wife and the mother of his children, Kristin McCool. Brent was preceded in death by his father, Ernest, his mother, Janice, and his brothers, Robert and William.

Brent's educational journey led him to Northern Michigan University, where he completed his undergrad degree and earned a bachelors in English. He later completed his MBA at Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Brent started out his teaching career in his home state of Michigan. He then embarked on a fulfilling career as a Theatre teacher/Director, Director of Performing Arts, and Director of Speech and Debate. He founded the Florida Forensic Institute, a summer speech and debate intensive program for high-school students. From 1990 to 2003, he dedicated his talents to The University School of Nova Southeastern University, founding and leading their highly competitive speech and debate program and also directing numerous plays and musical productions. He continued his impactful work in South Florida at Calvary Christian Academy from 2003 to 2008, and then at Mount Pisgah Christian School in Georgia from 2008 to 2011. He and his family then moved to Texas, where he became the Director of Speech and Communications at Prestonwood Christian Academy. Mr. Pesola was an amazing teacher. We will never forget the things we learned in his class and the stories he told us. He was the spice king and we miss his vivid energy.

I will never forget this man. He helped me out of a bind and didnt even know me. I was a roommate of his for almost a year, and it was a blast, an experience I will always remember. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones; I will miss him for the rest of my life, and I will never forget the kindness and compassion he showed me, and the lessons he taught me that helped me grow into the man I am today.

The indescribable amount of love I feel for you was given back 100-fold each day without question. I love and miss you so much and I will keep trying to be the person you always knew I could be. You kept me going even if I never told you. I will love and miss you forever.

I was a close friend and coworker of Brent. He an I attended many sporting events and spent a lot of time together over the past 8 years. I am deeply saddened by his passing and will miss him tremendously. Prayers for his family.

We used to dance to the song Billie Jean by Michael Jackson and entertain the family. He had a great deep laugh you could hear no matter where you were. He also would "fly" us across the room in the old trailer on M35. Too many good memories to count!

I remember going to Kennywood Amusement park in Pennsylvania and riding my first upside down roller coaster with him and just thinking how cool he was.

I will always remember how if he told a story over and over the story would get more ridiculous and outlandish each time it was told.

I most enjoyed throwing the football with my dad. We could do it for hours and just laugh and talk the entire time.
