Brent Welker Obituary
He is preceded in death by his parents and older brother Craig, who drowned in Willard Bay in 1964.
Brent was an entrepreneur. In the 80s and 90s he co-owned FlexTech Services, which provided custom awnings and signs for national accounts such as Boston Chicken and Blockbuster Video.
He was part of the Highland Hardy Boys in the late 60s, and served in the Army Reserves in the early 70s.
Brent, aka Buck, would always light up a room. He was a good listener with a quick wit, and a friend to coworkers, cowboys and cashiers. Other important people in his life include former stepmother Pam Welker White and her children, who provided him with support as a young man, former stepchildren Marc Coulam and Jennifer Harmon, and former wife, yet still life-long companion, Julie Carter.
A small farewell will be held at 3:00 Thurs. Aug. 24

I was a former neighbor of Brett, Matt and DeeDee in the early 1990´s. We weren´t close, but we had a cordial neighborly relationship. Brent was a devoted dad to his son and daughter and very proud of them. Blessings to his family.

As a young boy it was always so exciting to have Craig and Brent come to visit at Grandma's house from SLC. And after Craig's tragic passing in 1964, Brent would bring his friend Donny with him. It was magical sitting in the walk-in closet upstairs at Grandma's house with them listening to the latest Beatles album with them or sleeping out on the lawn in our sleeping bags with them and telling stories under the stars. Lots of memories flood my mind as I think back to those special times in my life that Brent was a part of so it was with sadness that I learned of his passing over the weekend. My most humble and loving condolences to Brent's family and loved ones. God bless you all.

So sorry to learn about Brent's passing a few days ago. Having been one of his classmates at Hillside Jr High and Highland High, it's sad and surreal to lose one of my contemporaries at a young age. My sincerest condolences and prayers to all his family and friends who loved and supported him in his life. May God be with you at this difficult time.
