I have listened to Brenton Wood since I was a child. I had the privilege of seeing him perform numerous times and he never failed his fans. He was always in good spirit and full of life. It is so sad that once again the world has another talented singer whose music was exciting because "The Oogum Boogum Song" and "Gimme Little Sign" was just an example of very good music during the 60"s that made you want to dance. It's the kind of music that will be part of music history for all times.

To the Family of Brenton Wood, may your heart soon be filled with wonderful thoughts and memories of joyful times as you celebrate a life well lived.

Sincerely,

Denise Robles

Listening to the music of Brenton Wood will always have a special place in my heart, especially "Me and You" and "I Like The Way You Love Me". He had such a soulful voice and made such a big impact on the lifestyle of the Chicano's and so many others. May he rest in peace.

I light up inside when I hear the start of any of your songs. Growing up in the early 2000's, we cruised to your songs in my moms 64' on Sundays here in Houston, Tx. <3

Houston will keep playing your Jams. Much Love.

Awww Brenton. You were such a sweetheart to everyone. A true professional entertainer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Condolences to your family. One of the last conversations I had with one of the Montez twins, Montez from Pedro, was about you. He will be waiting, in his gangster Fedora, to jam at that great concert in the sky.

One of my all-time favorite oldies artists I´m very sad, but I know he´s resting in heaven to all family and friends. My condolences. A good memory of mine was when I went to see him perform at Casablanca community center after the concert. I shook his hand and told him, I´ve been listening to you since I was a little kid now I´m here and have the chance to meet you and he said and now your hand is as big as mine. He always had something cool to say, and everybody I seen him interact with a true legend, rest in heaven .
