Bria, you fun little muppet girl, I will always remember your outgoing, no shame to be yourself attitude.
You had soo many beautiful artistic gifts, stretching from playing instruments, writing songs, acting, stand up comedian ( haha) drawing, singing, dancing, everything. You taught me a lot of important things, and I will keep your memory close. Wherever you are, I bet youre having a jam session. Luv you buddy. This isnt goodbye.

I will always remember Bria as a lovely sprite in ballet class. She was a child who promised to be an intelligent, compassionate and generous young woman. My deepest sympathies to Lorraine, Fernand, Kira, and all those who loved and miss her.

We had many adventures together Bria; and I'll forever remember how we bonded over both having OCD, and our hyperactive nature...you were one of the few people who could follow my train of thought, and vice versa. You were SOO beautiful, and kind, and compassionate, and I feel blessed to have had you in my life, and to have been a part of yours. I understand the struggle you were going through, because I am still facing that same struggle myself. And SOOO many others face what you faced. Our old friend Garret has lost the same battle; and has joined you on the other side, just two weeks ago. I will one day come to the other side, where you will be waiting with everyone who has been a part of my life, but I am going to stay on this plane as long as I can, and join you when it's my time. Until then I will carry your memory in my heart, and try to do my part to spread awareness and understanding of the struggle so many face, with mental health and addictions...We need to remove the stigma, and foster understanding and compassion...In the name of Bria and the thousands of others gone before their time because of addiction...

Today I found out that my beautiful friend Bria had passed. I just wanted to send my condolences to her family. I knew Bria when I too struggled with drugs, I haven't been around because I found the strength to break free of addiction 3.5 years ago. I also suffer from mental illness and know first hand the struggles of that life style. It makes me happy to hear that Bria's father is making it known about fentanyl and the terrible risks and the need for more help with mental illness. I will miss my friend Bria, she was a talented and had a beautiful soul! ❤

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your beautiful daughter Bria. I knew her from elementary school and remember her to be kind, gentle and generous with all of her classmates. I am so sorry she walked a very rough road in her 20s but will always remember her as a child. -Meghan Amson

Cher Fernand, la perte d'un enfant est la plus inimaginable des douleurs. Je suis en pensée avec vous tous. Que la paix soit avec Bria.

I know how much Bria meant to her piano teacher, the late Leonora Britneff. Bria was a favourite student and one whom Leonora always found great joy in her talent and in her expressive love of life.

I am so saddened to hear of Bria's passing. My mother, Leonora Britneff, taught Bria piano for many years. Bria was one of her most cherished students, and she loved Bria very much. Even after Bria stopped taking lessons, I would hear stories about her talent and beauty. My mom passed away in May 2015 but I know that, if she could be, she would be at Bria's memorial. If I didn't live in Ottawa, I would be there in her place. My thoughts are with Bria's family during this difficult time.
