To the Akana Family:

I am at a loss to think of anyone I have ever known who had a more sublime spirit than Brian. I was so blessed to have been able to work with him. He made the office a brighter place each day when he arrived and his ever present smile eased even the most trying day. Not even his early departure from this place can taint the warm memories I have of him. The world is a better place for his time here and I am enriched personally to have known him. My deepest sympathies to all of you.

I was so sorry to hear this sad news. You're all in my prayers at this very difficult time. Brian was such a sweet, gentle spirit. As I remember, he always had a smile on his face and a kind word or joke to share. Take care.

Dear Heather, I cannot tell you how saddened we are here to hear of Brian's passing. He was the nicest guy. We missed him so much when he was laid off, but wished him well. He seemed to like his new job so we felt better about his leaving. He was always so happy and always willing to lend a hand. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

I express my heartfelt condolences to the Akana family. As you know, you were a second family to me growing up in Honolulu. Brian was a good friend and older brother. I know he is in the care of a loving Heavenly Father and our elder brother, Jesus Christ.
