My heart and prayers go out to the entire Akins family. I only met Brian a few times as they are leasing a home from me in New Braunfels, but I instantly liked him and enjoyed collecting the rent over breakfast at Bill Millers in Seguin. Brian obviously embraced life and I suspect that he didn't waste a second of it. I am encouraged to learn of Brian's redemption through Jesus Christ. This guy was the real deal.

Brian was a dynamic and talented man that I was proud to have met and I will sorely miss. He had a knack for making you laugh and could always find a way to relate to the person he was with or people he was around. His talents and personality will be missed and I only wish we had more time together for him to live out his dreams. My heart and prayers go out to his family.
