Brian Barker

Very sad to hear this news. I was a pupil of his from 1958 - 64. A long time ago, I know, but his memory and teaching has lasted all this time! My condolences. David Medlycott.

Mr Barker taught me GCSE Engineering Drawing and I also got to know him through a number of overseas school trips, on which I went on as both a pupil and later as an acompanying adult. On one of these trips his children Paul and Janice also went. I observed that Brian was a very dedicated teacher and a considerate man of great integrity. The last time I spoke to him was after I had got my degree and told him I had a job in Ipswich, which he remarked as being the place he used to live. Condolences and best wishes to all of his family.
