Brian Fitch Obituary

Brian Fitch passed away on Friday, October 12, surrounded by his close friends and family. He was 61 years old. Brian was born in Eugene to Lucille and Robert FItch on March 8, 1957. He had two sisters, Connie and Carrie. He graduated from Churchill High School in 1975. He attended Northwest Nazarene College and received a Bachelor's of Education in Religious Studies in 1979. He married Loreen Flanagan on October 25, 1980. He attended Nazarene Theological Seminary from 1980-1982.

Brian served faithfully as a Pastor in the Nazarene church for 33 years. He started his ministry as a youth pastor in Tillamook, Oregon and worked there from 1982-1984. He became a senior pastor in 1984 as the pastor of a Nazarene church in Union, Oregon. In 1991, he and his family moved to Florence, Oregon, where they pastored until 2015.

He was an active member in the community in Florence. He served as the leader of the Ministerial Association and the President of Kiwanis.

In March of 2016 Brian was diagnosed with ALS, also called Lou Gehrig's disease.

He is survived by his wife Loreen, daughter Jannah Ferguson and her husband Colin Ferguson, daughter Julia Seimears and her husband Shay Seimears, daughter Jackie Moore and her husband Daniel Moore, and her two grandchildren London and Jaxson Seimears.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2pm at First Church of the Nazarene in Eugene, Oregon.

Remembrances can be made to the ALS Association Oregon and SW Washington Chapter
