Brian Patrick Higgs

Brian Patrick Higgs of Fort Worth passed away May 1, 2025. He was born June 6, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Gordon Repp Higgs and Myrtle Louise O'Brien. Growing up within a military family, Brian spent his formative years traveling as a military brat. Having a strong passion for aviation, he obtained his private pilot license at the young age of 17. He was very proud of the fact that he learned to fly a plane before learning to drive a car. Brian worked for the railroad from 1970 until his early retirement in 1992 after having been injured on the job. Following his early retirement, he focused on family and became a stay at home father. Brian was a man of Christian faith, he believed in charitable generosity, and was morally resolute in all things. His hobbies included swimming, riding recumbent bicycles, and flying remote controlled airplanes. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lynda Lea Higgs; and his two children, Avo Louise Higgs and Steve Allan Higgs. According to his wishes, he was cremated and his ashes were scattered in the Trinity River.
