Brian and I were math Ed majors at UCF and neighbors at Heather Glen. What a wonderful man and excellent educator. My deepest condolences and heart-felt prayers. Brian always made me laugh and made every tough day better.

Mr. Karcher was my Math teacher at Southwest Jr. High in 1991 , my favorite teacher the surfer dude.
I don't think he ever got mad besides the time my best friend and I kept passing notes with spit in them lol? teenagers. Mr. Karcher was one of a kind and a blessing to us kids

So sad to hear this news... He was my Geometry teacher in the early 90s. I hated math but he made it fun. I'll always remember him playing The Cure sometimes at the end of class. Truly one of the best.

I was fortunate enough to talk to him every day and I feel sorrow for his family and for his students and for all the students that won't ever be taught by this wonderful man. He was a dedicated public servant that will be missed.

I taught with Barbara for 6 years at Kathleen High School, as did my husband. She and Ken were so proud of Brian and Duane. We mourn your loss. Know our hearts go out to you and thoughts and prayers are with you both and the entire family.

I meet Brian the summer of '87 where we worked as student patrols at UCF. Always happy, always had a smile on his face and I'll never forget his long, blonde hair! Although I haven't seen or spoken to him in over 30 years, he has a special place in my heart. Sorry to hear of his passing, my thoughts and prayers for the family. -HJ

Brian was a first class guy with a huge heart. He was ready to help at the drop of a hat. I love the Karcher family as does all of Satellite Beach and Melbourne as well. Lisa, you and the boys will be in my prayers. We are here for you... just as Brian was for all of us.
