My deapest condolences to the families and friends of Brian McClary. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing, as was a great number of friends that Brian had so eloquently touched. He was to me an Administrator, Mentor and most of all Friend. He lives in the kinship of the Von's staff of the mid to late 90's. We speak of his kindness, hospitality and some times his crazy antics that make us laugh in rememberance. There are some of us still, almost a decade passed, sharing in the family they called Von's. The other family that Brian had helped grow and nurture. We pay our most sincere tribute whom gave us a job that changed many lives. Us the people who worked for you Brian, now spreading across many continents, and spanning many years; we still have not forgotten your gift to us. A gift that still comes together every once in a wile to talk about the good ol' days and reminisce of a place truely anomalous of the "real world". Till we meet again.

Finding the words to describe how Brian made Von's a precious time in my life is an impossiblity. All I really know now, is that without him, there wouldn't have been a place called Von's, and without that place, I'd be without a few of the greatest friends, and incredible memories I have in life. Brian had a genuine way of caring about people which subtely transcended in to our every day experiences. He wasn't a boss - he was a friend, to EVERYONE. He really was one of a rare kind. I can only offer my truest love, my most cherished thoughts and immeasurable sympathy to his family and friends. I really wish words could convey just how much...

I met this great guy named Brian McClary on an amazing student train trip to Montreal for Expo 67. Some years later we met again, dating girl's from Scona, skiing, partying. Skip ahead to David's and Barry T's - and the many times Brian scooted me thru the kitchen to get in to the "happening" Barry T's nightclub. Through the year's, consistently the great smile, the "I'll help you, great to see you again" greeting. I regret not keeping in better touch, Brian. To his family, I deeply empathize with your loss. At the funeral, the eulogies were so accurate, the letter from his daughters so touching. Sorry I could not stay for the reception, to CELEBRATE his life. Rest in peace, Brian.

My thoughts go out to all of Brian's family. I was just informed today of Brian's passing and was saddened and shocked. I had the great opportunity to work for Brian at Von's. Brian was so generous and caring, not only to his guests but also to his employees. I have many memories of being part of the "Von's family". I am thankful for the opportunities that I was giving. My deepest condolences go out to everyone whose lives Brian has touched.

I knew Brian during high school when a group of Scona girls became friends with a group of Eastglen guys. Connie, Meg, Linda and I used to ski and "hang out" with Brian and his buddies. It certainly makes me smile to think of those times and it's wonderful to read the tributes to him. My sympathy to all of Brian's family. I've sent a prayer for Brian and his family out to the Prairies and the Rockies.

I was saddened and shocked to hear of Brian's premature passing. We have been next door neighbors at Seba Beach for 5 generations, since my grandparents and Nina's parents, the Sands. I have known Brian since he was born. He was so good to my 3 children over the years at the lake. No matter how busy he was, he always had time to come over and say hi. He will be sadly missed. My youngest daughter still talks about Brian sitting strumming his guitar and singing Winnie the Pooh for them. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the whole family.

I am so sorry to hear about his passing, but Brian leaves behind him two beautiful daughters that will make him so proud. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family at this time.

Brian was a great guy and always very nice to me. I met him through the Freestyle Ski Club when I started coaching Bryn and Ellen 3 years ago. During this time he proved to be one of the most caring Fathers I have ever met, and his love for his family was always apparent. I'm gonna miss our chats regarding the old days of Freestyle skiing, Rest in Peace.
