Judy, Mitchell, Chad and Tanner:
Brian loved you all more than life itself. I remember the first time I met Brian and he was talking to a group of Spectra Energy colleagues about being at the cottage with his bride, Judy, and his boys. He said, "life doesn't get better than with my family and sharing laughs with my boys. And I'm amazed how on earth Judy puts up with us -- she is truly amazing!" I also remember when Brian wanted to surprise Judy with a trip to Italy! He had us all help him with the itinerary so Judy would have the most wonderful time! He told us all about how he surprised his bride Judy with the trip by giving her an Italian charm for her bracelet during dinner at a local neighborhood Italian restaurant. Judy, you were Brian's world! And Mitchell, I remember when we hired you and we didn't tell your dad. He was so anxious and perplexed over how things would go. I remember telling him, "No offense Brian - but our team picked Mitchell not because he's a McKerlie but because we know Mitchell will make a difference and add value to Spectra Energy." Brian smiled and said - "I know he will." My last Brian story for this posting is for my Enbridge teammates when we were putting the final touches on the Con Ed proposal for the NJ-NY expansion project. Erin - do you remember staying up in the graphics department, sitting on uncomfortable stools around the computer with Pam until midnight because Brian wanted to make sure we had crossed every "t" and dotted every "i"?!! Yes, that is why we all respected and loved Brian. His love for family and his commitment to perfection at work. He is a man that lived life well and I am so proud to call him my friend and colleague. Thank you Judy, Mitchell, Chad and Tanner for sharing Brian with all of us. God Bless you and know that we love you.
My best,

Condolences to the entire McKerlie family. Although I knew him for 2.5 years we became very close. Such a good man; good friend and teammate. I will miss him very much and our times together - the laughs and the jousting with each other. This one hurts.
