Brian James Penrod

Brian J. Penrod, MD, age 39, of San Antonio, died Saturday, January 8, 2005. Dr. Penrod was a member of St. DavidÂ's Episcopal Church and was a lay reader. Brian was an undergraduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from University of Syracuse Medical School. Brian did his residency at Montifiore Albert Eistein School of Medicine in the Bronx. He completed his fellowship at the University Of Maryland School of Sports Medicine. Brian was chief of Musculo-Skeletal Radiology at Brooke Army Medical Center for four years where he was actively teaching Residents and Fellows. Brian loved acting, was an excellent snowboarder and runner and was a member of the Thespian organizations of the schools he attended. He ran the NY City Marathon in 1992. Survivors: wife, Hilary Penrod; parents, James and Mary Penrod, Waddington, NY; brother, Jeffrey Penrod and wife, Kim; nieces, Jacqulyn and Julia Penrod, all of Manchester, New Hampshire; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William M. and Margery M. Hoffman; godchild, Morgan Johnston, five sisters-in-law, all of San Antonio, TX; numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, also his beloved Golden Retriever, Cartman and his Yorkie, Mr. Pippin.
