Brooklyn Smith

Brooklyn Lee Smith, age 10, of Somerset passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2008 at her residence.She was born in Somerset on Jan. 20, 1998 to Shannon and Amy Tarter Smith. She was a student at Pulaski Elementary.Along with her parents Brooklyn is survived by two great-grandparents, Hattie Tarter and Dorothy Smith; her grandparents, Bobby and Norma Tarter of Nancy, Ky., and Jan Smith, of Somerset; five uncles, Renny (and Hana) Smith, of Science Hill, Star Smith, of Burnside, Ken (and Barbara) Smith, of London, Ky., Steve (and Wilma) Smith, of Maryville, Tenn. and Bobby G. (and Heather) Tarter, of Nancy, Ky.; and eight cousins, Samuel Smith, Elias Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Josh Barrett, Ryan Smith, Stephen Smith, Logan Smith, and Bobby G. Tarter Jr. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bryson Smith; two maternal great-grandparents, Ezra Tarter and Merlin Smith; paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Laura Reesor, and Cy Renius and Dorothy Smith; and a grandfather, Kenneth Smith.Funeral services for Brooklyn Lee Smith will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. with Bro. Doug Wilcoxson and Bro. Rob Tranthem officiating. Interment will follow in Somerset Cemetery.
