Bruce Anderson

Although I did not know Bruce for very long, he still managed to make an impact on me. I joined the Foersterling / Irons Wealth Management team in October of 2023 and one of the first days I was introducing myself to him. I told him I went to UW-Madison for college, which he said he frequented often during his college tenure. Bruce asked me "Do you know what the definition of Madison is?" I said "No", so he asked me to "Get a pen and paper to write this down". Of course, being one of my first days I had my serious, business professional face on and was ready to take note. Bruce states the definition as "7 square miles surrounded by reality", and I respond in a serious tone "Oh really, why is that?". The joke completely goes over my head. Bruce responds with "IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A JOKE" and it hits me and I embarrassingly laugh that I did not understand it. From this moment on, he was one of my favorite clients to work with due to his humor, and organization skills because he always knew what he was talking about in regards to his accounts. I had one sole sticky note I kept on my desk through the year, and it was Bruce's "definition" of Madison as I did not want to forget this interaction as I was meeting numerous clients. I hope this shows his impact that he had on everyone he met and what a joy he was to be around, even if it was for limited time. Our sincerest condolences.
