I'm sorry for the condolences being belated, I had only now just learned of your loss. I am sad to hear of his passing.
From the time I knew him, he was a kind and friendly person and he seemed to know absolutely everybody. An example comes to mind of one time he invited me to lunch, and near the end of our lunch he excused himself from the table for a few minutes and came back with business cards from four other restaurant patrons and he stopped to say "Hi" to several others on the way back to our table. I never forgot that lunch, even though it was over 20 years ago.
Again, my condolences to the whole family.

To the Bayer Family: My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there's a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
