Bruce C. Belden 1953-2018

64, of Strasburg passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Altercare Country Lawn Center in Navarre following an extended illness.

Born on December 18, 1953 in Canton, he was the son of the late William H. Sr. and Jeanne (Geoghegan) Belden. He was also preceded in death by his sister; Janet Belden; his niece Kristen Belden; and his father and mother in-law; Thomas and Noreen Hoffman.

On June 9, 1990, he married the love of his life, Janice Hoffman, who survives. He is also survived by his son; Benjamin Belden of Byesville; his brothers and sister, William (Karen) Belden Jr. of Canton, Thomas (Katy) Belden of Chagrin Falls, David Belden of Canton; Joan Belden of New York; his brothers in-law, Thomas (Bonnie) Hoffman of Massillon, Larry (Susan) Chiavaroli of Norton, Ohio, David (Katherine) Bartlett of Wadsworth, Michael (Teresa) Kossuth of Copley; his sister in-law, Nancy Hoffman of Wadsworth; along with many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.

He graduated from Canton Central Catholic High School with the class of 1972. He worked at Belden Brick for over 35 years. He loved spending time with Ben and never missed a sporting or school event. He was an avid Cleveland sports and Notre Dame fan. He also enjoyed his time on the golf course.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. A funeral mass will take place on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. Immediately following the service, a meal will be served at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center, 831 Boulevard, in Dover.
