Uncle Bruce was a second father to me and a great friend of my parents. He was at our house the day I was born and I have fond memories of him all throughout my childhood and adult life. I'll never forget the times spent in his "loggies". He and Hazel were such an amazing couple and it gives me peace to know that they are once again together. I love you Uncle Bruce and will miss you very much.

I was very sad to hear of Bruce Blandford's death. He was a very close friend of my late husband Lee Montgomery. I have many memories of good times together with Bruce. The last time was in July, 2000 when I visited Bruce and Hazel with my daughters Diana and Anne. I will always remember him in my heart, goodbye Bruce from your friend Kay Montgomery.

Bruce was a great friend of Leland and Katharine Montgomery, the parents of Diana, Christine and myself, Anne.He was in the same Regiment as my Dad and they kept each other strong throughout those difficult times.Dad died in 1989 in Vancouver, BC. and Bruce came to pay his last respects and gave us his warm heart and sincere support which meant so much to us all especially my Mother. The friendship never died and we visited Hazel and Bruce in 2000 in his wonderful log cabin in Quebec, the happy memories still remain with me.Thank you Bruce for being such a kind and generous soul, it was a pleasure to have known you. Yours sincerely Anne Montgomery.

A sad good-bye to my wartime buddy in the l7th Hussars. We remained close post war friends and spent many happy times when he came to Florida in the winter season, playing golf and enjoying ourselves at the "Cricketers Pub" along with other visiting Hussars and wives...........Many a rollicking sing song did we have at this Pub along with the fish and chips.........So I say "So long Brucie Boy "......we ran a good race and it was swell while it lasted!!! Your old Buddy, Ernie

We have been good friends with Bruce for over 45 years and he was our neighbour for most of our time in Ste Adele. He was always called Uncle Bruce by our Children Bob and Debbie and we felt he was part of our Family. We have very fond memories of lots of laughs and happy times spent in his company. It was an honour and a privilege to have known him. Doug worked for many years with him at the Greyhound Lines. After moving to England we kept in touch with him over the years. We have all lost a true and fine gentleman. We will miss him very much.

Bruce was a friend of my Mom and Dad's for years. He came to visit us when I was a child....before he was married to Hazel so you know how long ago that was. As a child, I thought he was Clark Gable. Such a nice man. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

We offer our sincere condolences to the family. We were introduced to Bruce and Hazel by our brother-in-law, Ernie Moore. Ernie and Bruce served together with the 17th DYRCH. We have fond memories of socializing with Bruce and Hazel at armoury reunions and at their home.
