Bruce and I were coworkers for many years. I recall his dedication and willingness to help anyone who asked. My thoughts and prayers for his entire family, especially Bonnie. A great man will be missed.

As I sit here this morning drinking my tea I reread your obituary....I hate that word because it means you're forever gone. I remember the day mom brought you both home from the hospital and sat you on the kitchen table. Being premature you were the size of my dolls. I remember I wanted to hold and play with you guys but grandma Sophie wouldn't let me. Then I rembered when we were older and got in trouble our punishment was we had to "watch the twins."
Growing up in such a large family we were close and we made so many memories I will cherish. You were always there for me when I needed you, especially after John had his accident. Any time I called, you came and I would pay you in baked goods and cheesecake. I loved that you were kind and helpful to others when they needed help...you never knew a stranger.
Today I saw my first mallard since you left, it was only a picture but I knew you were ok and some day I would be ok too. I am grateful that you are now whole, healthy, strong and out of pain but I sure do miss you.
I know you will be with dad and Randy fishing up in heaven but, I heard it's catch and release only. That's ok, it's all about being with the ones you love. Please hug and kiss everyone for me and tell them that I love and miss them and to keep visiting my dreams.
Bonnie, Richard, and Ashley know you are watching over them and you are still pranking them but, know they have plenty of family and friends to help them get through this and you know I will help wherever I can.
Until we meet again know that
I love and miss you little brother.

Apprehensively I brought my son Haden over to hang out with his friend Ashley. I knew her always from volunteering at the school but was leery about leaving him with essentially a stranger. Good thing Bruce felt the same way. We had great laughs or first meeting, and frankly every other time we encountered each other over the next decade plus. I loved his relationship with Ashley and the beautiful bond they shared. Bruce was quick witted and filled with laughter.
