Bruce CAMPBELL Obituary
July 7, 1937 - January 1, 2017
Bruce was a devoted family man and leader both loved and respected by many. He had an illustrious career in the Canadian Rubber Industry as Plant Manager at General Tire (Barrie) and United Tire (Coburg) but the pinnacle of his working life was the position as Vice-President of Mack Truck Canada (Oakville) and lastly as Plant Manager for Hartford Fibres (Kingston). An excellent competitor, Bruce always had a few sports on the go but was especially fond of badminton. He was an avid doubles player well into his 70s. Predeceased by his parents Nelson Campbell and Edna (Baird) Campbell/ Camelford from Dunnville, ON. Ever grateful for him are his wife Marilyn (Dietrich) Campbell and children Sharilyn, Robert and daughter-in-law Pamela (Holbrook) Campbell. Beloved as Papa to his granddaughters Jessica (Ryan) Morris and Kathryn Campbell, and great-grandson Carter Morris. First cousin to Freda (Stewart), Ina (Mills), John, Molly and the late Phyllis Campbell. A private family service with Rev. Deborah Hart has been held. Sincerest thanks to the care teams at The Village of Humber Heights and Humber River Hospital. If so desired, donations may be given to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada. Marilyn
I was informed today of Bruce's passing, by
Wayne Parks. Always had a warm and happy feeling when Bruce walked into the Gym because I knew we two old fellows could give the young sixty year olds a workout.
I always enjoyed his company and will remember him
fondly. My condolences to you and your family

It was with deep sorrow that I read about Bruce's passing. I will always have fond memories of Bruce playing badminton at the Kingston club. He was a keen competitor and a great doubles partner and a true gentleman. I will never forget the night that we had an all points bulletin trying to find Bruce after badminton, only to find him already comfortably at home. On behalf of myself and the Limestone Badminton Club members our deepest sympathy.
