Bruce found out my daughter was majoring in a science field in college. She planned to be an aerospace engineer. Bruce gave her a book "In Suspect Terrain" by John McPhee because the main character was a woman geologist and he said we need more women in science. Today, my daughter is a geologist, working on her a masters degree. Probably not just because of that book, but it has been referenced by her professors. We are grateful to Bruce for that personal, insightful gift.
