Bruce Emanuel Daniel

I just learned of Bruce's passing. I met Bruce at Park, where he was my companion, co-conspirator, inspiration and muse. He was my true best friend. I followed him to Oberlin to work in Experimental Theater.
We kept in touch for a long time; but as we moved to opposite ends of the continent, we lost touch. I regret that deeply.
I still think of Bruce often. He was a talented, caring, humane, energetic and all-round wonderful person. He influenced me greatly.
You have my condolences.

My very dearest friend from Oberlin, and a wonderful friend for life thereafter. Bruce's combination of talent, energy, good humor, courage and simple, moment-to-moment kindness will never leave me. He was a constant inspiration, a fellow traveler in a life of creative invention, a work of art in and of himself. What can we all do but grieve and live on as he would wish us to, honoring his wonderful spirit?

Losing someone that we love never comes easy. It is truly heartbreaking. May God's promises in Isaiah 65:17 comfort and help you.
