Bruce HORTZ Obituary
Late of Byron Bay, and formerly of the Gold Coast, found peace and left this world surrounded by love, and in the arms of his Family, on January 26, 2014, aged 60 years.
Soulmate and loved Partner of Robbie. Adored Son of Wally and Zoe (deceased). Loved Father of Josh and Joel. Dearest Brother and
Brother-in-law of Col and Kay, and Phil and Marg, and their Families.
After a brief struggle with illness, Bruce died as he lived, with grace and courage.
Bruce will be long remembered for his wisdom, patience and care in helping others with their recovery, and for his work with The Salvation Army and The House With No Steps.
Family and Friends are warmly invited to attend the celebration of Bruce's life, to be held in the Somerville Chapel, 129 Nerang-Broadbeach Road, Nerang, QLD, on Thursday February 6, 2014, commencing at 12.30pm.
In keeping with Bruce's style, Hats, Sarongs and Casual Attire are encouraged !!

It is with great sadness to hear of your passing Bruce. My thoughts go out to your family and love ones. I still remember sitting with you under the tree in front of the tuckshop at Southport State High. Just shooting the breeze, thinking we were way so cooler than all the other kids.
