Sorry to hear that Bruce is gone. I knew him from Columbus State Community College. Although we did not work in the same area, I had the good fortune to be placed on a couple of committees with him. From our subsequent interaction, I became a big fan. When it comes to my favorite people at CSCC, Bruce was in the top five. He was one for the first people I met when I went to work there and he always made a point of speaking to me from that day on. I was impressed by his intelligence, his honesty, and his skill in working with people. I think we could have become good friends if we had gotten to know each other better. Judging from his obituary, we had more in common than I realized. He was a legend in the library field and I have known several newly minted librarians who were disappointed they could not work for him. Hope he enjoyed his retirement, brief as it was.

Bruce was a boss of mine at Brooklyn Public Library and he was a good one. We almost always agreed and he was very amiable an intelligent. He was also blessed with common sense which is largely lacking in many public institutions. I was sorry to see Bruce leave New York when he did and he was missed. I wish I had known Bruce personally since he sounds like a great and interesting person. A huge loss to those for his family and friends.

Bruce gave me my first job in the real world back at In Touch Networks in NYC. He was an incredible man to work for and he shared so much culture and life with me too. He taught a young man a lot. I'm sorry we hadn't reconnected for so many years. Rest easy my friend, until we meet again.

Bruce was one of a kind who didn´t know a stranger. I´m deeply saddened to hear of his passing. We did a lot of work together with accreditation at C-State and became good work friends and colleagues. I can see his welcoming smile and hear his laugh. Sending heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

Bruce was a true gem to work with at Columbus State. I learned something new every time I spoke with him, it was obvious how much he cared about the power of education, and his smile was contagious. A whole college is thinking of your family during these tough times...
