Bruce E. McClane

Tonight I had the unique pleasure of witnessing and participating in a TRUE celebration of life. Bruce's spirit and zest for life was captured perfectly by all who attended this evening. With two parking lots filled and cars parked on the grass, I parked and walked towards the huge crowd and instantly started smiling. I was greeted by a SEA of tie-dye. It was at that moment I thought "this is a beautiful thing happening here, where am I?"
Your loving family received us outside, with the beloved car, and I couldn't even cry because it was so authentic and real and full of life. When you see children and grandchildren and all the relatives and friends celebrating Bruce's life, it made me feel happy to have known him. What an HONOR it is that I am able to call every branch of this whole family a friend. It just doesn't get better than this. YOU TRULY ARE AMAZING, ALL OF YOU. There is no better tribute to his life than continuing to lead yours with the uniqueness and authenticity that is so very real to all of us who know you. Thank you all for being ... who you are. xo

I am so very sad to hear the news. It has been a pleasure seeing you over the years with your grandchildren at preschool. You would greet me every morning with a hello and a smile. My most profound memory, that I will never forget, is when one of our students with Autism...95% non-verbal...would pick you out of a huge crowd every day and yell hi with a smile. I've had the pleasure of teaching your granddaughter and I always spoke of her unique personality and big heart that brightened the room and made everyone around her smile. You shared that gift with your family. Prayers and condolences to your family.

So sorry for all his family in this loss. Bruce was an amazing person. Some of the best times I had were with the Mcclane boys at the races.

Cant believe your gone. I've known you since I was around 8 years old. You are like a brother to me. Always said " hey girl" and give me a big hug when we ran into each other. Gonna miss that. The world lost an awesome guy. Will miss you. Give my dad and your dad a big hug from me. Until we meet again
