Dear Barbara,
So sorry to hear about Bruce's passing. It has been many years since we were in AGD at Purdue and you were dating Bruce. My brother Don also was a colleague of Bruce's at Intel (in Folsom, I think).
Though I didn't know him well, I remember him as joyfully nerdy, a loving companion to you and sharing a love of life. He will be greatly missed by all he touched and his memory treasured. Peace be to you, his family--his heart does go on.

My sincerest condolences for your sudden loss… Bruce was a visionary and one of the fathers of Flash who made a huge positive impact on developing an industry and on the many lives of those that were fortunate enough to have worked with him.

Dear Barbara,
First of all, my sincere condolences to you and the McCormick family. I've known and worked under Bruce in Flash Marketing group for so many years, had lots of great memories and shared so many wonderful moments with him (sometime difficult ones too). I personally learned a lot from working with Bruce and frankly it was the best time of my Intel career. I will miss him and will always remember him.

Dear Barb and family,
Many prayers and blessings upon you during this most difficult time. May you all find comfort and peace in the fact that so many admired Bruce and loved him and you & his family. Angie always speaks so highly of her brothers and I was pleased to be able to meet you and Bruce when you came for a visit to our monastery in 2013.
Know we are all praying for you during this time of loss.

I admired Bruce's honesty. He would countenance no "mealy mouthed weasel words" regardless of the status of the speaker. And no one has pursued an unchanging vision as relentlessly and with such passion. It is tragic that he has passed just as the vision is materializing. I regret that I did not know him better personally despite working with him for 20 years. But I will never forget him.

I had the pleasure of working with Bruce in the early days of Flash Memory at Intel, and then the occasional hallway discussion later in our Intel careers. Bruce was always the enthusiastic visionary, which he continued into his post-Intel work. A true friend, and a great thinker - his insights will be sorely missed. To Barb and family - my sincerest condolences, and our thoughts are prayers are continuously with you.

The greatest memories of my time at Intel were those early years as the Folsom site was just beginning. Bruce was one of those amazing leaders that pioneered many successes. I am grateful for having known him and for being part of such a special time. I am sorry that he was taken too soon. You will be missed. Barbara Grogan

Barb and Family,
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Bruce has passed too soon, but in this time he was a key force in the direction of Intel's non-volatile memory innovation. It was my joy to share a portion of that with the great person he was. I will miss him.

Barb and Family,
I am so sorry for you loss. I worked with Bruce at Intel Santa Clara. More than a colleague, Bruce was my advocate, writing my letter of recommendation for graduate school, helping me develop my management skills and acquire the technical and enterprise knowledge that opened the door to a range of opportunities. I spoke with Bruce about a month ago to schedule a catch-up time over coffee. He touched so many lives, especially mine. He will be missed.

Before Flash, Bruce was part of the microprocessor marketing organization at Intel's Santa Clara facilities. His contributions were always on point and his humor lightened our days. Condolences to family and friends.

Few understand the joy and frustration of being 25 years ahead of your time like Bruce. It was awesome to speak the same language, the world is now a much lonelier place for me ...

Bruce hired me in Folsom in 1984. We worked together on several non-volatile memory technologies until Bruce discovered that Flash was the memory of the future. We demonstrated the digital camera concept using Flash memory as part the Flash intro in 1988. Bruce is a man with a great vision and a strong passion to follow his vision. He is a unique character and I really enjoyed the special relationship we had over the years. We were able to stay in touch through lunches and e-mails. One of the most memorable experiences I had with Bruce was him flying me to a meeting in Santa Clara in his Cessna 172. Bruce had recently taken up motorcycling, and I'm sorry we missed the chance to ride together sometime. I sure miss him. Peace be with you Bruce.

Barb, Chris, Melissa and Matt,
In the very short time I have known Bruce, he exemplified his roles as a Father, Husband, friend and "Boss". He was dynamic, smart, witty, energetic and full of life. I know how much he will be missed by all those lives he has touched. .Bruce adored his family so I can only imagine your loss and sadness with his passing. I will keep you in my thought and in my prayers.

Barb and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I grew up next door to Bruce. He was my brother's good friend and side kick for many years. John and Bruce could be a little mischevious when given the opportunity. I remember laying out in the sun one afternoon working on my tan (very unwise) when I suddenly was drenched with a bucket of ice cold water! The McCormick's were great people and wonderful neighbors. We mourn your loss. Gayle Fuller Gernand
