Sincere sympathies to all. I will always have fond boyhood memories of Mr. Renton. A smile as large as the man himself. Ever inspiring swan dives from his dock. Always wondering how a man of his stature could water ski behind a 50 HP boat? Teaching us to make whistles from bass trees and cocktail hour with my dad at Renton's Roost using those funny colored metal cups.
Mr. Renton will always be in our thoughts.

Those of us from the first days of Gloucester High School are saddened to hear of Mr. Renton's recent death. As the founding Head of Shops and an active volunteer in student activities, Bruce - (surely, with the passing of decades, we former students can call him that now) - helped shape Gloucester as a multi-faceted and visionary school whose embracement of diversity and unwavering sense of commitment to its students have stood the test of time. He was a bright and engaging individual, and a much-loved teacher and member of the school community. We remember him fondly, and honour him as a "once and always friend"
