It's with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Bruce Michael Urban, aged 64 on October 16, 2023, in Port Arthur, Texas,
Bruce was Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Harold and Theresa (Bohack) Urban and grew up in Houston, Texas. He was a 1977 graduate of Scarborough High School.
He attended the University of Phoenix graduating with a Bachelors Degree with honors in Business Management in 2008.
Bruce's professional career began in the geotechnical industry in the late 1970's. He moved into Environmental Remediation in the 1980's working on Superfund site remediation in Massachusetts, New Jersey and Texas.
For the last 15 years he was employed as Quality Control Manager for Remedial Construction Services, L.P. RECON, Houston TX on projects along the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana.
Bruce is survived by his wife Maureen at their home in Taylor's South Carolina and his Houston family, brothers Gary, Mark and Glen (Linda) Urban. His nieces, nephews, and Aunts Alice Lagucki and Irene Smith and his many cousins and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Bruce's life will be held November 12, 2023, from 3 to 6 p.m., at the Sterling Banquet Hall, located at 5475 W Sam Houston Parkway N, Houston, TX 77041, to share stories, anecdotes, and all the happy memories we have of Bruce.

In honor of this remarkable soul, Bruce's family kindly requests that any contributions be made to the charitable organization of your choice in his memory.

May Bruce's spirit forever inspire us to find humor in life's twists and turns, and show kindness to all we meet on life's journey.

So sad to hear about Bruce. I worked with Bruce back in the good ole days and remember having many good times and lots of laughs. Really fun guy to be around. He had a very friendly and out going personality. He even used to DJ at a local club. And he would sing karaoke. I will miss Bruce.

My first memory is the first time I met him. DB Coopers in Nashua NH. He was a fish out of water in NH in January. He came from Houston and cold weather wasn´t for him. He introduced himself and bought me a drink. His southern accent was so thick I only understood 1/2 of what he said. He had a really nice smile and beautiful blue eyes. He didn´t have me at "Hello" he had me when he called me Ma´m. 34 years went by too fast.
