Bryan Carl Obituary
Bryan Christian Carl passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at The Hospice of East Texas. He passed peacefully with his family by his side after a two-year courageous and hard-fought battle with gastric cancer.
Bryan was born June 7, 1967 in Hampton, Virginia. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1985, and Texas Tech University, home of his beloved Red Raiders (Guns Up!) with a degree in Civil Engineering in 1992.
Bryan is survived by his much loved family, his wife of 22 years, Dr. Stephanie Hunter Carl; and his daughters, Cailyn Elizabeth Carl and Chloe Nicole Carl, of Tyler. He is also survived by his mother and stepdad, Carolyn J. and Randall K. Rudiger, of Hideaway? his father and stepmother, J. Kennon and Peggy Sharpe, of Fort Myers, Florida? his brother, Dr. John D. Carl (Tracy), of Garland? stepsister, Christina Rudiger (Missy), of Springtown? stepbrother, Brian D. Rudiger (Shelly)? stepsister, Tracy Inman (Phillip), of Gatesville? father- and mother-in-law, John and Lynn Hunter, of Flint? brother-in-law, Scott Hunter (Jen), of California; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bryan's greatest delights in life were supporting the many endeavors of Cailyn and Chloe, followed by his support of Texas Tech Red Raiders, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Texas Rangers, and cruising the Caribbean and elsewhere with his family and friends.
In accordance with his wishes, Bryan was cremated and his ashes will be scattered at a later date on his favorite beach.
The family would like to give appreciation to Dr. Frank Ward and the staff of Tyler Cancer Center, gastroenterologist Dr. Feng Li, and the staff of The Hospice of East Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, TX, 75701.
