We are vacationing in St. Augustine and Googled who your husband/father was. You must be very proud of the hero he is. We are so sorry for your loss and are truly thankful for the freedom Sgt. Tutten fought for. I am so thankful his legacy continues and St. Augustine has made sure he is not to be forgotten. May God richly bless you!

Sgt. Bryan J. Tutten and family,
I represented you during The Patriot All America 2014 at The Wigwam, playing for Bethany College, Lindsborg KS.
The Patriot is an amazing tournament, filled with patriotism and pride for those who we have lost; if you could see it, you would be proud. Words cannot redeem the sacrifice you have made, along with all the other troops who have fought for their country. As I learned at the tournament, "freedom is not free", and we thank you.
This semester, it is my mission to auction the bag and raise money for the Folds of Honor Foundation and your family.
Nothing will be able to replace your life, or your families loss; but I at least hope it can make a small difference.
Again, we thank you.

Tutten was in my platoon during Operation Iraqi Freedom from the 2003-2004 deployment.
Just last Sunday I heard of two LT's we shared dying in an IED as well.
I didn't know them as much as I knew Tut.
I have a picture of him pre op during some random day in Iraq.
My other good friend Scott Otto is deployed in Iraq at this time.
Our Father in Heaven loves him so much. John 15:13 Greater love hath no man then this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Tutten knew this would happen before he came down to Earth, so he must truly be a select servant of the Most High God.
Though I will never see you again while on this mortal probation, I rejoice as I wait to meet you in Paradise and enjoy the Eternities together as brothers of our Father and brothers in service.
I love you Tutten.

I know your sorrow
It feels as though there's no tomorrow

The Wind on The Downs
“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you laughing as you used to do,
Yet loving all the things I think of you;
And knowing you are happy, should I grieve?
You follow and are watchful where I go.”
(Written by Marian Allen during World War l )
Two lines that I wish you to keep near your heart…….
“You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe”
I did not know Bryan, but I am remembering
his service and sacrifice. He is my hero. !

The Other Side
i'm over on the other side
where life and death softly divide.
left my skin and bones behind
now i'm over on the other side.
can you feel me there with you?
my breath is gone but i'm not through.
loved you then and i still do
from over on the other side.
i can fly. really fly.
below the earth ... all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.
it's good here on the other side.
the sweetest songs...the bluest skies.
thank you for the tears you cried
but it's good here on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth...all through the sky.
tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side
the world is smaller than a needle's eye.
where life and death softly divide.
when you leave your skin and bones behind
i'll be waiting on the other side.
i can fly. really fly. below the earth ... all through the sky.
go tell em all i did not die.
i'm just over on the other side.

Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed.
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.

To the Family and Friends of this Soldier:
I will stand in grief with this soldier's family to honor him. For every fallen HERO there is a bright star that shines in the evening sky to remind us of the cherished gift we were given – even if for too short a time.
My heart breaks again as I sign yet another guest book of another courageous young soldier who gave their life so selflessly. I wish I never found myself in a position to have to sign another guestbook for the rest of my life, but I promised Brent that neither he nor any like him would be forgotten and so I will continue until the day there is no longer the need.
We lost our son SFC Brent A. Adams on 12/1/05 and it seems like yesterday. I wish so badly there were things I could say to you right now to make the pain you are feeling go away, but I know first hand there simply are no words that will bring you the comfort and peace your heart aches for. Just know that you are not alone. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with you all as you go through this tragedy moment by moment and as you mourn this loss.
We don't know each other, will probably never meet, but will forever be united in the loss of our Heroes. We have, unfortunately joined a group none of us wanted to join, an ever-growing group of families in this situation. May God grant you peace and strength to get through this and be able once again to smile at a memory rather than have only the tears that flow so easily now. To be so proud of your loved one and so saddened at the same time is a mix of emotions very difficult to deal with as our hearts both burst with pride and pain together.
I am sorry that I never knew your soldier personally. While they can never be replaced, neither will they ever be forgotten. You must trust that sometime, someday the loving memories you have will help to sustain you and help you go on. This courageous soldier will forever be your Angel watching over you all for the rest of your lives. It's what brings me some measure of peace and comfort and I hope it will you as well.
To his family and friends in pain, I offer this comfort: When you find yourself in that dark sorrowful place, think not only of how you will miss him, but instead recall the years, days, hours and minutes gifted to you by his presence. The one thing that cannot be taken from you is your wonderful memories that now will mean more than ever.
If you ever want to talk, I'm only an e:mail away and would love for you to tell me more about your Hero.
God Bless this soldier and family who gave all and God Bless legacy.com for setting up this site where families can so quickly share their condolences and prayers with others like themselves.

My heart ached when I heard of you losing your son. My son just returned home right before Christmas after 14 months of serving in Iraq with the 501st Airborne, Fort Richardson, Alaska. To the family of Bryan Joseph Tutten. I pray that God will bring you peace. I know of great lost. Came to St. Augustine in Aug. of 2000 with my husband New York City retired Firefighter, I say this because it touch my heart when I read on why he joined the military, because of 911 I lost many good friends/family and I want to personally let you know that his bravery and great sacrifice will always be remembered by me and mine, See I knew those who were lost on that day and Joseph did what I could not and that was go and fight for a real true cause to keep this from ever happening again I did not know him but I will remember his name when ever I see a Flag flying high being blown by the wind, children running freely, laughing and playing, Churches being filled with the freedom to worship God. Every good thing that we still have because of Men like him. Lets us remember it doesn't come free Jesus paid it all, BUT there are still great men paying for what we here have in the United States and that is freedom. I will remember him.
To Mom and Dad;
Joseph will say to you....
Remember me with smiles and laughter for thats how I'll remember you all. But if you can only remember with tears than don't remember me at all.
Remember him with smiles and Laughter.
God Bless to you All Ana.

To the Family of Sgt. Bryan J. Tutten. Our family would like to express their deepest sympathy in the loss of a true hero. Know that Bryan and his family will always be in our heart and prayers. We to have walked in the shoes you are now walking in when on August 18, 2005 we were notifed that our son and brother Pfc. Timothy J. Seamans was KIA in Samarra, Iraq by a road side bomb (IED). Know that we are their for you whenever you need us. They say time heals all; true as it maybe the memories alone will bring back the pain, sorrow and tears. Our faith is strong and I believe you faith is just as strong. We ask ourselves why and we know that answer for God himself is in control. He now walks in the eternal light and grace of God along side his other Band of Brothers gone before him. We have set-up a foundation to honor all the fallen heroes in Florida www.floridafallenheroes.org I hope when you have time you can visit the website.

I am absolutely devastated and I know that you are too...but find comfort in the fact that we will see our loved ones, our heroes again. Do I wish that I could trade places with my son? I was made aware of his death from the front page of the paper and then again by your friends Lee and Cindy Ebersold and am truly sorry for your tragic loss. Ironically as I was driving down US1 today and saw the many vehicles showing tribute to such a fine, brave young man the song "Hero" by Mariah Carey was playing on the radio and I just cried. Never having met any of you I just wanted you to know that my heart and prayers go out to his wife, children and rest of the family. He is truly a hero and will always be an angel watching over all those he loves. God Bless from a caring St. Augustine resident.

I was so sorry to hear of Sgt. Tutten's death. Please know that he died a hero; he made the ultimate sacrifice for his country and you should all be very proud. I can relate to your pain and to your profound sense of loss; my brother, LCDR Keith E. Taylor, was killed in Iraq on January 29, 2005. He was sent to Iraq for a six-month deployment in October 2004 and he only had 35 days left... He also had a daughter named Catherine (spelled Katharine) and she turned 4 this year. And ironically, I was born on New Year's Eve. I feel connected to this story somehow. Just know that Sgt. Tutten's death was not in vain and he will NEVER be forgotten. God's peace be with all of you. God bless America and God bless our troops.

To The Family of Bryan Tutten,
We first heard about your son's passing from our son SFC Scott Vest who was serving with Bryan in Iraq. He needed someone to talk to about how sad he was about it and how he had died on Christmas Day. We reminded him that Jesus came into the world on that day to save us and that it was an honor to meet Jesus on that day. We send our prayers of comfort and thanks to you and your family.

Dearest Constandina and Family,
It is hard for me to fathom you even being old enough to be married and the mother of two. I can still remember your sweet smile and personality as you were a middle school student at Murray when I worked there.
My heart is saddened for you and your sweet family as you go through this terrible time. I can not even begin to understand your pain. I just know that you should be very proud of Bryan and what he stood for. I am sorry to say that I didn't know him, but feel honored that he was giving unselfishly of himself to protect us and to stand up for something he obviously believed in very much.
Please know that our love, prayers and daily thoughts are with you and will continue to be in the days ahead. Trust in your faith and lean on your loving family to help you through this.
With love and prayers,

There is nothing that I can say or do to take away the pain or bring you peace in your time of sorrow, but I will offer you and your family my heart felt condolences. I also offer you my prayers that in time the pain will easy and the memories of your HERO will carry you through each day and night. I want to thank your HERO, for his/her selfless act of becoming a member of the armed forces, his/her willingness to defend the United States of America, all that we hold sacred and for the sacrifice that will forever be etched in the memories of all those who knew him/her. Though tears can never bring him/her back, we hope that our tears express our gratitude for the sacrifice that he/she made and our sorrow at his/her passing. I believe for every fallen HERO there is a star shining brightly up above to remind us of the precious gift we were given.
Your mission on earth is complete and you are now a member of GOD’s Heavenly armed forces. Stand down brave warrior and take your rightful place in Heaven with all the HEROES who have passed before.
I made a special promise to LE RON A. WILSON, a dear family friend who joined the Army with three other friends, one of whom is my son (Le Ron was killed in action on 07/06/07 at the age of 18) on the day he was laid to rest as I touched his coffin, that I would never forget him nor would I forget those that gave their lives for our country before him, with him and after him and so when I came across www.legacy.com, I thought what a great way to keep my promise to Le Ron, so I will continue to leave tributes in each guest book until the day there is no longer the need to leave these tributes to a FALLEN HERO.
REST IN PEACE, HERO, YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!!
I would also like to tell you about a website, http://groups.msn.com/SSPSoldierPor
traits/homepage,
where some wonderful people will make wood portraits of your fallen Hero for free for the immediate family. I became aware of this site when I wanted to do something special for Le Ron’s mother.
