Andy, Trudy, and Bonnie
We were so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. After talking with Andy a few weeks ago about how he was getting along pretty good (new friend, new car), we were totally surprised. So sorry we couldn't make it to the funeral home. I have such fond memories of Mr. Frank and your mom while living on Mulberry. They will not be forgotten. It seems so strange that all four of them are gone now. I hope we can stay in touch somehow.
Love you all

Dear Frank, What a wonderful uncle you were to me. From day one you were there. I held your sword when you were about to embark on a military career. You gave me your medals and "Mighty Eighth" Air Force patches, a lot of German stuff when you got back. Bert was the love of your life...and then three sweet little girls. I held Bonnie in my lap, just as you held me as a baby. Yes, you washed out my mouth with soap when I needed it! Hey, you were a father figure, big brother, favorite uncle, and everything a kid could hope for. I loved you! And tears are flooding my eyes now! Hey, you were responsible for my tracking Sputnik! And being 30 miles from Russia! And when I got really homesick...you wrote to cheer me up! And then after the Air Force, life moved on for both of us. In 2001, September 11th I was working on the Air Force side of the Pentagon. Although, you had been in the Merchant Marines, I'm glad you were not in the Navy,...we lost a lot of folks on that side of the building. After 9/11 I was promoted to work with JAG in the Pentagon. I met Generals, including Paul Tibbets, and Senator John McCain. I had my picture taken with the Secretary of the Air Force! And sent the picture to you. What I'm trying to say is that you were always my mentor and my Hero. I wanted to reach the top of the military to Honor YOUR service to our country, I love you Frank, I miss your smile and kind-hearted ways and we will see each other again soon. God Bless you. Your nephew, Lynn

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Settle..I always remember his kind ways, I don't think I ever remember him getting mad or loud when we were kids. He always had a smile and I know all 3 of you will miss him terribly. With Love, Brenda Davis Crisp

I truly know what you are going though at this time .I am holding you and your sisters close to my heart and even closer in my prayers.I can hear your mom asking him why it took him so long to get their, and him telling her he had to make shure the girls were going to be all right. God has his plans all worked out and now we can hear them saying to each other---WE DID DO SOMETHING RIGHT.....I LOVE YOU.
