To Lori and Sam and families
Your dad was one of the finest men I ever knew. Always welcomed everyone to his home with a smiling face. I always enjoyed my visits with him and Betty. I am glad i got to see him one last time I spent about ten days with him and it was great being with him just visiting and going over ton of remember whens. I will miss him terribly as I have lost a brother in law and a good friend. Rest in peace Bryan and we will meet again.

My deepest sympathy. I always remember his laugh and the cute little plastic ring he made for me when we were young.

Bryant Edward Hakes, my brilliant Uncle B, lived a very remarkable life. A life that inspired me a great deal.
His broad range of interests and extremely clever demeanor made him a wonderful and extremely fascinating man to know.
He was kind and patient, generous with his time and affection. He had great perspective when it came to little things, never angry or impatient.
Instead, he always showed great dignity & fantastic wit. Not only was he my Uncle, he was a dear friend and mentor.

I'll miss that gentle and remarkable humor. I'll miss the surprising depth & scope of his knowledge.
I'll miss the warmth he extended to everyone he met. I will miss Uncle B dearly, but I'll treasure his memory forever.

It saddens me enormously to be so far away right now, unable be there to share with my lovely cousins, Sandra & Lori, a warm cuddle and shoulders to cry on.

Farewell Uncle B. Love you dearly. See you again, a little further up the trail.
