I opened a show for Buck when I played with the Poindexter band down in Sarasota back in the 70s. He was a wonderful, gracious, incredibly talented musician who I cherish the memory I have of playing with him. God's speed my friend.

God Speed our friend! Thank you for you kindness, Buck was the BEST! Harley was 12 years old when he heard Buck playing the Banjo on the Porter Wagner Show. Harley bought a 5 String Banjo and taught himself to play! We were so excited to see and meet Buck at his shows. Buck always took the time to share stories of his days with Roy Clark and Dolly! I was so glad to see Harley's idol be as kind and generous as Harley imagine! Rest In Peace our friend!

Buck Trent was my second cousin..Growing up hearing all good things about Buck, made me proud to be kin to him. Bucks mother was my grandfather's (Zeno Johnson))sister. I never got to tell him how proud I was of him,. A poor boy from Spartanburg S.C. made himself a legend.. He made the first electric banjo. I love you Buck

Met Buck in Louisville, Ky, at which time he purchased a motor home from our dealer ship. A real, true country gentleman, played a mean banjo. Enjoyed his humor.
