Buford Grubb Sr.

Buford W. Grubb Sr. Buford Woodrow Grubb Sr., 70, of Wytheville died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Ronnie Umberger and Steven Umberger officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Augustus and Carlotta Aker Grubb; and a son, Barry Grubb. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Joyce Shortt Grubb of Wytheville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Buford Jr. and Louise Grubb, and Ronald and Lisa Grubb, all of Max Meadows; a daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and George Davis Sr. of Wytheville; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Barbara Dunford of Wytheville; and three sisters-in-law, Helen Grubb, Abby Green and Donna Brackens, all of Wytheville. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
