Byron Holt

Dr. Holt was such a wonderful memorable individual. I was his patient for over 25 year. My oldest was born on his birthday and he tried to convince me to name her "Spike". Years later he became her doctor! I will miss him forever in my heart!

You are so missed. I still cannot walk into WHCCH without tears flowing as I look up at the portrait of Dr. Holt and team. We grew some wonderful babies (who are now 15 and 17!) Thank your for everything!

I have fond memories of Dr. Holt. I had a cancer scare and I so well remember his exact words. "It ain't gonna' happen." And it did not happen. This very caring physician is much loved by his patients. May his family find comfort in the abundant loving memories he left for them.

You were not only my physician but like my dad over the last 40 years knew me better than myself. Were compassionate when I was going through so much in my personal life and helped me through everything. I always loved you like a parent and cry to this day when I think of you being gone so I talk to you through God now and it may not be the same but it helps some. There is no other man in the world like you or doctor the doctors of todays generation just do not care like you did

What a great loss for us all! I was just looking up Dr Holt's address to send a letter of gratitude and read of his passing. It is heartbreaking for me and my heart goes out to all of his family and all those he has touched over the years. In 1979 I saw Dr Holt and that visit changed my life. I will forever be grateful to him. He was kind, genuine, respectful, caring, and wise. I will never forget him and thank God that I was blessed with him as my doctor at a very important time in my life. I will miss him.

I am still emotional over the lost of my doctor, my friend. He was such a remarkable wonderful man. I remember going into surgery and they were about to put me to sleep when someone notice I was Dr. Holt's patient and the nurse said "wait, Dr Holt has to be here before" . He came in and held my hand while I was put asleep. I will always cherish him. Much love to his family for you have my deepest condolences. He will be missed.

No words can describe the experiences and love you shared with your family, friends,patients,staff, nurses and doctors. A year in heaven and we still think of you everyday. Your loving daughter.

21 years ago on this coming July 25th I will be celebrating my son's birthday. He is my only child and prior to his birth I had had 3 miscarriages. A friend had recommended I see Dr. Byron Holt. Just hearing of the news of his passing tonight, I am overcome with such gratitude for having had the opportunity to be blessed by his care and determination to equip my body to carry my child to delivery. My deepest sympathies to the Holt family. Dr. Holt was the truest of caring souls.

Your family is in my prayers. Dr Holt was a great doctor and a phenomenal surgeon. His bedside manner was like no other. He was so kind and caring and he always took the time to listen. He will be so missed. I'm so sad to hear of his passing, but I am happy that he is with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God bless you all.

He was one of the finest doctors I've ever experienced. He took his time to talk to you about various subject instead of rushing through the examination. He made his appointments feel like you were visiting a friend. I will miss him and compare all others to his abilities. God bless his soul.

I just learned of Dr Holt's passing he was one of the best he had such a gentle and concerning spirit. I always enjoyed talking to him about the Waco area which is near where I am from. This really saddens me and I will continue to keep his family in prayer.

Dr. Byron Holt was my doctor for many, many years. I am sorry to learn of his recent passing. He and I would talk about his medical missions to Guatemala and the wonderful work he did there. He was truly a compassionate human being. Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Dr. Holt, I started going to you over 35 years ago, you have taken care of me and all three of my daughters as well as my granddaughter. You always made me feel comfortable and even when I had issues you reassured me that it was ok. When my granddaughter was sick and no other doctor could figure out what was going on you did and I thank you for that. When I moved from Houston I would still come there because I trusted you, I am sad that you are no longer with us but I know you are one of the angels working over us now.

I just learned of your passing and it truly breaks my heart. You saved my daughters life and in turn I now have 2 beautiful granddaughters. You were always such a gentle man when Ash was sick and we had no idea what was going on. Thank you so much for that. I'm truly saddened to hear that you are gone but I know your flying high with the angels! God bless your family and I hope you know that you are a permanent memory in our hearts for everything you did. Thank you for giving me back my daughter and for being an amazing doctor.

Dr. Holt is and was a wonderful man and physician! I've just learned of his passing and my heart is so sadden! I remember talking about fishing with him and telling him about Hackberry Rod and Reel and giving him phone number and he provided me the number for a fishing guide he liked a lot. Dr. Holt operated on my oldest daughter two years ago.
I will never forget the moment he came to my husband and I with a big smile and told us it was a benign mass and not to worry---that she would be just fine.

Dr.Holt was an amazing doctor to me,he delivered my son 36 years ago and I want to extend my condolences to his family,may he rest in peace..I have wonderful memories of him,I was a young Mexican girl back then and he always have the sweetest things to say to me..like he was so sure I was not Mexican and that to him I looked like a little French girl..every time I went to see him for a check-up he said..''So here is my French friend''..haha..so sweet..Rest in Peace Dr.Holt,I've always remembered you dearly.

I was so very saddended to hear of Dr. Holt's passing. I met him when I moved back to Houston and he was conveniently located downtown in the tunnel of the old Bank One building. Fifteen years later, two pregnancies and one hysterectomy, I am proud to say Dr. Holt was not only my doctor but my friend. Peace be with you my friend. It saddens me to just find out about your passing. My family and I would have gone to your visitation. What can I say...... Dr Holt you have been there for my family since opening your practice. You saved my Nana, did numerous surgeries and procedures on the women in our family, delivered my sister, brother, myself, my son, niece, and other cousins. You always had a smile on your face and could spot me out in a crowd and would wink and come over and give me a hug and see how my family and I were doing. You gave a sense of calmness when discussing serious matters and would always give the best advice. I am very saddened to hear about the passing away of Dr. Holt.
He was my doctor for 40 years and helped me so much with my all medical issues. I am now 69 years and doing so much better but to see him gone breaks my heart.
He will be greatly missed.

I was very sad when I heard that Dr.Holt passed away. He was a "Wonderful" doctor, always smiling and made time for everyone. Not only was he my doctor for 35 years but more like family. He will be greatly missed by many. He has joined the company of "ANGELS" and will always be our guiding light.

My condolences. So many fond memories. He was so kind and did a tremendous job on all my deliveries and procedures. He went beyond the caring of any doctor I have known. We first met when he and Dr. Thibodeaux were in practice.

I just learned of Dr. Holt's passing this evening. Dr. Holt was my hero. He made it possible for me to have the joy of having children when I didn't think I could. He was always there with his stead fast faith and confidence in that he would say that one day soon, I would become a mother. After eight months of medication and one surgery I became pregnant! Dr. Holt saw me through my happiest times and the lowest times. I felt as though he was one doctor that had probably seen it all and because of this, I developed such confidence with him. I listened to every word he said for he was a brilliant doctor, faithful in his walk with the Lord and overall one of the greatest human beings I have ever had the privledge of knowing. I am so saddened that he is gone and I will really miss him. I am sorry I did not know of his passing until now for I wished I could have been at his funeral. Please know that I pass along my special prayers and condolences to his family and also to his wonderful work staff. You have made heaven an even brighter place now Dr. Holt. I love you.

I was so sorry to hear the news about Dr. Holt! He was such a great man and wonderful doctor. He loved The Lord, loved his family and cared so much for his patients. He would go on mission trips, helping those in need. Not just with medical care but providing school supplies. I was so fortunate & blessed that he was my doctor for over 30 years. He will be terribly missed. My deepest sympathy to all of his family!

So sad to hear about Dr. Holt. He was a great person and an excellent doctor. He performed surgery on me in 2012 and greatly improved my quality of life. He was my hero. My condolences to his family, friends and coworkers, he will be greatly missed.

I have just learned of Dr. Holt's passing, as I am requesting to see him for my scheduled annual. I knew he was ill, yet thought he had recovered..so saddened. He became my doctor, when Dr. Estrada bequeathed his practice to him, and I just totally felt so comfortable with Dr. Holt, as he was always so kind,gentle and never "in a rush." May he rest in peace, and may all the fond memories he left here on Earth; bring comfort to all.

I just read this he delivered my first born daughter Lindsey on 3- 30- 1982 at Spring Branch Memorial how sad I had no idea he had been sick prayers to the family he was one special doctor to me and my family. My daughter now is 33 and living in California

I just looked on my birth certificate and thought I'd look up who actually delivered me. Turns out it was Dr. Holt. Neat thing is that he delivered me on June 26th! I was sad to see that he also passed away on my birthday. Glad to see he was such a wonderful man that left behind such a wonderful legacy!! Condolences to his family and friends!

Prayers for the Holt family in this difficult time. Dr. Holt not only delivered both my sister and myself, but he delivered all 6 of our combined children, my best friend, and best friend's daughter. He was always kind, caring, and looking out for the best interest of his patients. He will be missed.

I attended the wonderful memorial for Dr. Holt today. It was truly a wonderful celebration of his life. I did not attend the reception as I knew all I would do was cry. He is truly missed. His love for his family was obvious. My prayers are sincerely with you as you find a new normal. What a blessing to know one day we will see him in heaven...so thankful for that. God bless you.

I have moved away from Houston...and just heard the sad news about Dr. Holt. He is one of the doctors who I planned to still see...even living two hours away. I considered Dr. Holt not only my doctor but a friend as well. He will be missed by so many...he was one of a kind doctor...the real thing!

Prayers to the Holt family. He brought my oldest son into this world he's 35yrs old now. He was amazed that a 4'11 100 lb woman could give birth naturaly to a 8lb 3oz baby with no drugs. He always made me laugh and he will be missed!!!!!

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Truly, a wonderful human being whom I will always have fond memories of.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Holt family. Dr Holt delivered my sister, cousins, a lot of my friends children,as well as my oldest daughter almost 13 years ago. He was one of the kindest, most caring men that i ever had the pleasure of meeting. When my daughter was born, July 31, 2002, Dr Holt had the radio on in the OR and the song, In the Arms of the Angel, by Sarah Mclauchlan came on as she entered this world, and every year, I hear his voice and see his caring face as he showed me my first angel. He said, "what a blessing and what a beautiful song to be born to". He will be missed. I know he is in heaven in the arms of an Angel.

I am so saddened to hear of his passing. What an amazing doctor and man! He diverted both of my children, and it is only due to him, through God, that I have my precious son! Thank you, Dr. Holt, for praying with me, and allowing me to be a momma twice over! You will be terribly missed!

Dr. Byron was truly a great man. He delivered my younger brother almost 30 years ago and has been my doctor during adulthood. Although I am saddened to hear about his passing, I know that he was a God-fearing Christian and would want us to celebrate his life knowing that we will indeed see him again when we get to heaven. God bless those who he has left behind and I encourage you to keep his legacy alive.

Dr. Holt was one of the kindest and most caring person ever. I saw Dr. Holt for 46 years and was truly loyal to him and his practice. He was not only my doctor but was a friend as well. We knew Dr. Holt since 1971 - three children. Always a fine, honorable man, a caring physician, and proud father and husband. We know his many patients will never be able to replace his care. We also know his family will draw comfort from his devotion to them. We can not say we have lost a good man as all those who knew him will cherish their memories. Perhaps more important all the young doctors who learned from him will continue to carry his healing to all their patients as well. God Bless.

1978 - it became clear that I would need a c-section after a long labor with a over 10 pound baby. Dr Bolt was gracious and forward thinking in allowing my hubby to be in the room behind me. I will never forget that! He was a kind and gracious man. I send my prayers to the family.

Dr Holt will always be near and dear to my heart. May he RIP.
